On Wednesday afternoon, January 8, Sterling Police Department Officers, received an internal theft report from the local business Gold Rush Amusement. The
Sterling Police Department Detective Division began an investigation into the matter. On Thursday February 20, 44-year-old, Michelle Virgili of Rock Falls was charged in Whiteside County Court for the offense of theft over $500 in regards to this incident.
Virgili is not in custody and has a pending court date in the coming month’s reference this incident
