A piece of Dixon Park District Land that was thought to be in the City of Dixon soon will be.
During the most recent Dixon Park Board meeting, the members voted to go forward with the annexation of the Meadows Property into the City of Dixon. Executive Director Duane Long said the annexation issue is now back into the cities court.
The Meadows Property includes the golf driving range, the water wonderland, the Facility Building and the land behind it.
Long said the board looked at the annexation very closely and determined they could only find positives with the annexation. Long stated there would be no changes to taxes caused by this move.
