Lalley said this is just a proposal at this time. The county also does not have the money to purchase new drones.
In other news, Lee County Sheriff Clay Whelan said for the first time in many years the Sheriff’s Department is attracting new hires from other departments. He said for years the Sheriff’s Office was losing staff to other departments.
