Ever since Lee County came to an agreement with Discover Dixon for the county tourism outreach, things seem to be trending in the right direction.
During the Thursday night Lee County Board meeting, Lucas Pauley of Visit Lee County gave his quarterly report. Visit Lee County is reaching around the state with advertisement. Recently, the county put out television advertisement and they have gotten success in places such as Chicago.
Pauley said they are working a great deal in Social Media. He said Instagram has grown substantially and Facebook inquiries on the county page has grown by over 130%.
The county is also seeking Facebook Influencers who would post videos and their experiences in Lee County.
During the Amboy Depot Days and the Sublette Festival, Pauley said the Visit Lee County Facebook page reached over 100,000 potential visitors to these festivals.
