For many people in Dixon, when they went to sporting events, concerts or the high school musical, they would see two people there on a consistent basis. This would be Larry and Louise Reed.
Tuesday was a big day for the Reed Family. The Dixon Park District dedicated their new basketball Courts at Vaile Park, the Larry and Louise Basketball Courts.
Larry Reed passed away a few months ago; however, Louise Reed thanked the district for the honor.
Dixon City Manager Dan Langloss mentioned that when he thought of Larry and Louise Reed he thought of vision. He pointed out that much of what the community is seeing on the riverfront is due to the vision of Larry Reed.
Dixon Park District Executive Director Duane Long said he has known the Reeds his entire life and he always remembers seeing them at everything that happened in town.
