Lee County Farm Bureau Affairs Committee Working on Habitat Restoration and Pollinator Garden in Skokie

By Tim Garnhart Apr 21, 2025 | 5:14 PM

Lee County Farm Bureau Governmental Affairs Committee members have been hard at work on a habitat restoration and pollinator garden at Niles Township in Skokie.

The project stemmed from their close connection with their Adopted Legislator, Representative Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz. This project has been three years in the planning cycle and two years in execution.

Lee County Farm Bureau partnered with Cook County Farm Bureau to be awarded a Nutrient Stewardship Grant from Illinois Farm Bureau to help bring this project to life.  Small steps forward in making this original, unused green space and water retention area, a garden sanctuary for pollinators.
