Saturday was a special day for one Dixon family. For over 30 times the Dixon Habitat for Humanity has held their groundbreaking for their new home building project.
Nichol Richardt will soon start her sweat equity for the new home and she said she is looking for a place she called her forever home.
Habitat for Humanity’s Rachel Deskins said they are actually ahead of schedule. What helps is not having the problem getting materials as they did last year. Unfortunately, the cost of said materials have gone up.
Deskins said they are getting several volunteers willing to come out to help. They have volunteers for almost every weekend this summer.
She went on to say they would be more than willing to except the help from any volunteer, no matter their skill set.
