The City of Oregon is doing all they can to make sure they have tree lined streets throughout Oregon.
During the most recent City Council meeting, City Manager Darin DeHaan asked how many trees have been planted. He was told nearly 50.
The City of Oregon worked for the past few years to earn the designation of Tree City USA. The city achieved the designation. Part of the requirements was the established of a tree board and the planting of trees in Oregon.
The city has also offered special deals for residents who may want a tree in their front yard.
