The Dixon Park District would like everyone to say “WELCOME” to Jacci – the new Director of the Ruth Edwards Nature Center.
Jacci is a Wisconsin native with a Bachelor of Arts in Geology and Environmental Studies from Lawrence University. She met her husband Caleb while working at the Lorado Taft Field Campus in 2017.
After working at different nature centers and residential outdoor education facilities in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota – Jacci, Caleb, and their cat, Maxwell Q Klinger, moved back to the Oregon/Mt Morris area in 2022. They recently welcomed a daughter, Mallory, to their family in January 2025.
In her spare time, Jacci enjoys exploring the outdoors – whether it’s hiking with her family and friends, getting a chance to look for birds and camping, or taking some time to read in her hammock.
