The Sterling Riverfront Committee has a recommendation on Naming Rights and Donor Walls for the Riverfront Park.
During the Sterling City Council meeting Monday evening, the council learned the park might be named after the largest donor to the park. It would be known as the Northwestern Steel and Wire Riverfront Park.
There would also be donor walls with the names and individuals who donated. The minimum donation to be put on the walls has not been determined.
The donor names can be added. The Riverfront Committee also chose the same company who has created other donor walls in Sterling. The difference with this wall, is the need to make it resistant to the weather, the City Council was told.
