It is getting that time of the year when you will begin seeing farm vehicles. These tractors are either traveling to fields or they are already in the fields.
Katie Pratt said farmers try to put their seed into the ground as soon as possible. She mentioned that the climate is changing and many local farmers have been able to get seed into the ground earlier each year.
Pratt says farmers have just been waiting to get planting. Farmers have been working on their machinery and their plans.
Some places have dried out enough for farmers to begin, however the others are waiting for the fields to dry out and warm up.
