The Consolidated Election was held Tuesday and two seats were up for the voters for the Sauk Valley Community College Board of Trustees. Danelle Burr and Tom Demmer will be returning to the Board.
Demmer spoke of his time on the board and how proud he is to be a part of what the college is doing.
Demmer is the Director of the Lee County Industrial Development Association. He said with his background in economic development, He sees the value of SVCC.
He also spoke of the Impact Program as a way to help young adults to get the education they need for a good career. The other goal of the Impact Program is to encourage more graduates to stay in the Sauk Valley and help fill the needs here.
