During the first Oregon City Council meeting, the members barely approved an agreement with the company A5 to help promote Oregon. A5 from Chicago is a marketing firm.
City Manager Darin DeHaan gave the council of what A5 has accomplished so far. He stated they are working to develop the story of Oregon. The company is doing this by holding interviews with different entities in the community.
The questions the group is asking are what brought you to Oregon and what keeps you here. DeHaan also said they have just about reached the number of persons for the different committees needed.
The goal of the marketing campaign is to attract more persons from across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
