Discover Dixon continues to search for ways to help increase Lee County Tourism.
During a recent report to the Lee County Board, Discover Dixon’s Lucas Pauley spoke of the work and plan Discover Dixon has. Part of the plan includes Community Partnerships to highlight their attractions and events.
Pauley pointed out one popular attraction right now is the Beaver Den in Paw Paw.
Pauley said they are working with Visit North West Illinois in these partnerships.
From October of 2024 to January 2025, the Tourism Analysis Software Discover Dixon uses showed an 18.6% increase in overnight stays.
Pauley did say they had a decrease in viewership from key areas. However, he explained they are currently not running advertisements in those areas.
