The Oregon City Council met in regular session Tuesday night and started the proceedings with a brief presentation about the 2025 Sidewalk Replacement Program.
Three priorities discussed by City Manager Darrin DeHaan were pedestrian traffic patterns, walkability and access, and condition of sidewalks. DeHaan and staff are eager to get this project going.
This will be an in-house project at a cost of between $7500-$10,000 thousand dollars. Far less expensive than using an outside contractor. DeHaan is hopeful, weather permitting to start the project April 1st.
In other news, another project that the city hopes to complete is new fencing around the city dog park located on Second Street.
The council approved the request to purchase a 2025 Ford F-150 Squad Car and equipment not to exceed $75,000 thousand dollars.
