The Lee County Government is hoping to inspire future young leaders to get involved and active in the county in the future.
During the Lee County Board meeting Thursday evening, County Administrator Jeremy England spoke of a partnership the county has with the Illinois Extension. England said this is for the 4-H Leaders Program.
England said the group of 4-H kids would be sitting in on committee meetings and the board meeting. They will also see how the departments work.
England said the goal is to inspire the kids to return to Lee County and will do what they can for the county and the citizens. Those dates again at April 10, 17, 24 and May 1.
