On Thursday afternoon, February 20, Ogle County Deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident with an injury in the 8000 block of S. IL Rte. 38.
After investigation, learned that 62-year-old Farrell Stauffer of Rochelle was traveling southbound in the 8,000 block of S. IL Rte. 38. Stauffer was driving a Subaru Outback.
While Stauffer was driving southbound, he had fallen asleep, traveled off the east side of the roadway before jumping a ditch, and traveled approximately 400 feet before coming to rest.
Rochelle EMS transported Stauffer to Rochelle Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
