Shortly before 2:00 am Sunday, February 16, Ogle County Deputies were dispatched to the area of 19000 East Illinois Route 72 for the report of a car in the ditch.
After an investigation, it was learned a Chrysler 200 was traveling eastbound on East Illinois Route 72 before traveling in the south ditch and losing control. The vehicle then reentered the roadway before sliding to a stop in the north ditch.
The driver was identified as 52-year-old Alisa Voss of Kirkland. Voss was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to the Ogle County Jail, where she was released on a Notice to Appear. Voss was additionally cited for unlawful possession of cannabis, and traveling too fast for conditions.
