Dixon Trying to Create Fund to Help With Housing Repairs

By Tim Garnhart Feb 13, 2025 | 7:25 PM

During the recent Budget talks of the Dixon City Council, Dixon City Manager Dan Loss gave a rundown to the Community Development Fund.  This fund helps pay for the arts, culture and the quality of life.

Langloss said it also is for infrastructure needs.  About $200,000 was carried over for housing and revitalization said Langloss.

Langloss said the money would be used for roofs and windows.  It would not be used for painting the interior or adding onto the home or the like.

Langloss said if the family fits the requirements, this could be used to improve a home by having repairs done to improve the quality of life.

The Community Development Fund has an amount of $1,366,887.
