On Saturday afternoon, January 25, Ogle County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the intersection of E IL Rte 38 and S Mulford Rd for a crash involving two vehicles and minor injuries.
Upon arrival, it was determined that 31-year-old Marco Hernandez Mandujuano was driving a Nissan Sentra southbound on S Mulford Rd. The Nissan failed to stop at the stop sign on Mulford Rd and struck a Chevrolet truck that was westbound on IL Rte 38 in the side. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Rochelle Fire Department Ambulance took Hernandez Mandujuano and the driver of the truck, 64-year-old Patrick Board of Rochelle to the Rochelle Hospital for minor injuries.
Hernandez Mandujuano of Rochelle was cited for DUI, no driver’s license, no insurance, and disregarding a stop sign. He was released with a court date in Oregon.
Illinois State Police, Rochelle Police, Rochelle Fire and Creston Fire Departments assisted the Sheriff’s Office.
