4-H members from Carroll, Lee, and Whiteside counties will compete in a public speaking contest on Monday, February 17 at the Whiteside County Extension Office.
The public is invited to see what the talented 4-H’ers have prepared for presentation. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. with speeches to follow beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Whiteside County Extension Office is located at 12923 Lawrence Rd, in Sterling, Ill.
4-H’ers wishing to compete should pre-register before February 12 by visiting go.illinois.edu/PublicSpeakingCLW or contacting their county 4-H program coordinator.
Speech categories include Formal Speech, Illustrated Speech, Original Works, and Oral Interpretation. Speeches may be presented individually or as a 2-person team.
