The Magnuson Hotel in Dixon is now closed up and considered an abandoned property.
During the most recent Lee County Public Safety and Court Services Committee meeting, County Administrator Jeremy England informed the members the latest on the situation.
He said the county is working with the Dixon Rural Fire Department, Zoning Department, the Health Department and others to find a resolution about the property.
The Magnuson was consider unsafe to live in, by several departments. Following court proceedings, the hotel was closed and went into foreclosure. England called it one of the top priorities of abandoned property that the county is working with.
