For over 30-years, the City of Oregon has helped to usher in the Christmas season with their Candlelight Walk. As usual, Saturday evening in the Oregon downtown, there were plenty of sounds to bring back great memories. One of them was the jingle bells and clip clop of the horse drawn wagon rides.
The night air was rather brisk as a stiff wind made it feel colder than it was. Nevertheless, many of the storeowners stated they still had a good crowd of customers.
Some said they could not believe the year had flown by so quickly and the Christmas season was here again.
Even though it was cold, many people bundled up and came to the courthouse lawn to watch the lighting of the city tree.
