Does it seem like you are running out of time to enjoy the warm weather or even the rest of the year. Dixon Executive Director Duane Long wanted to let the public know there is still time to enjoy what is happening at the Dixon Park District.
Long said with this warm weather, the park district has left in the boat docks and the splash pads are still operational. He also said the Farmers Market at Haymarket Square would be open until the end of October.
Earlier this year, the park district opened the kayak and canoe rental. According to Long, this has been a popular new feature. He wanted the public to know there is still time to enjoy them and to paddle about the river.
The park district also has primitive camping sites. Long said it is not too late to enjoy them.
