On Saturday, September 14, Ogle County Deputies along with the Monroe Center Fire Department and Kirkland EMS responded to a two-vehicle injury collision at the intersection of IL Route 72 and North Mulford Road.
After an investigation, it was learned that a Nissan traveling northbound on North Mulford Road disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a Hyundai traveling westbound on IL Route 72.
The adult male victim and driver of the Hyundai were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the Nissan fled the scene.
